It was followed by "Barney" another witty comedy continuing the "senior"
theme. Directed by Narelle Bickerdike, it tells of the fight by
Barney the cat to stay in a "no pets" retirement village and starred Sylvie MacFarlane,
Johanne Castle, Charisse Dorrianm Andrew Nathan and Graham Skyner.
The final play of the evening was "Chook Chook", a funny and thought provoking tale about
four chooks in a battery hen farm. Directed by Peter Sherry with wife Judith Sherry and Eva Peace
as the "old Chooks" happy with their lot in life, and Lisa Wilcox and Melissa Sellers as "younger fowls
longing for freedom".
