Strike Happy was a well spaced comedy, set in the 1950's in an English working class town. Albert and George are on strike 'to establish the inherent rights or every man to stand up against opression and tyranny' or as Alberts wife Clara, more plainly puts it, 'to establish the right of going to the lavatory without having to ask the forman first'. The women are sick of the strike and take action of their own, which results in some hilarious misunderstandings and situations.
