The tale of two cane-cutters who return for the five month lay off from north Queensland.
They have been doing the same thing for seventeen years and having a great time,
with Barney and Roo joining Pearl and Olive, the women who wait each year for their return.
Each year Roo brings Olive a kewpie doll, and this is the story of the last doll.
