It's about hangers-on, the end of loyalty, the coming of professionalism, big business and massive transfer fees. It's about each and every club, it's about Aussie Rules, rugby, soccer and baseball too. We meet six characters at a time when a once successful club hasn't won a premiership in nineteen years. You have the coach Laurie, Ted the President, Ted has never played footy in his life, but loves the club. Gerry the ruthless administrator, Gerry makes the bullets and someone else fires them. Jock, the ex-player, ex-coach and is as nasty as they come. And of course the players Geoff and Danny. Geoff is the player the club has paid an enormous fee for and is simply not performing, while Danny is a former champion struggling to live up to his excellent onfield reputation.
